Myofascial Skin Rolling

Myofascial Skin Rolling

Targeted Soft-Tissue Treatment for Tight, Restricted or Sensitive Areas

Warning: Whole-body skin rolling can be quite intense and may be uncomfortable or painful in some areas, and no massage oil is applied to the skin when doing the skin rolling. Think about it before booking. You can try a short session on my sports massages to see if you can handle a full session.

This can be added to the sports massage within the massage time you booked, and it will be done before the massage.

30 minutes $65 (limited areas)

60 minutes — $130 for a whole-body Myofascial skin rolling

Myofascial Skin Rolling is a hands-on technique where the skin and superficial tissues are gently lifted and rolled between the fingers. It can be incorporated into sports or remedial massage when an area feels tight, restricted or uncomfortable.

Skin rolling can sometimes be uncomfortable or painful. Some areas may feel tender, tight, sensitive or more restricted than others. This can be particularly noticeable when the tissues have reduced mobility or are sensitive to pressure.

The aim is not to cause unnecessary pain. Pressure is adjusted throughout the treatment according to your response, the area being treated and the reason for treatment. You should communicate with your therapist if the sensation becomes too intense.

What You May Experience

During treatment, you may notice:

  • A pulling or stretching sensation of the skin

  • Tenderness in tight or sensitive areas

  • Localised discomfort during the rolling technique

  • Temporary redness of the skin

  • Increased sensitivity immediately after treatment

For some people, the technique may feel quite intense, while others find it relatively comfortable.

Why Use Skin Rolling?

Myofascial Skin Rolling may be used to help:

  • Improve movement between the skin and superficial tissues

  • Address areas that feel restricted or tight

  • Provide sensory stimulation to the treated area

  • Complement other sports and remedial massage techniques

  • Support comfortable movement and recovery

The treatment is tailored to you — firm and targeted where appropriate, but never unnecessarily painful.
