Google review for a professional athlete.

As a professional athlete, I’ve spent a lot of money over the years on massage and recovery services, and most people simply don’t compare to Ray.
After finding him through Google reviews, I decided to give him a go, and he is genuinely the only person I’ve ever seen consistent results from. What stands out most is how much he genuinely cares. He communicates incredibly well, regularly checks in after sessions, and often spends well over the scheduled time to make sure he’s done everything possible to help.
His knowledge is outstanding, he provides take-home exercises to support recovery, and his prices are very reasonable. The convenience of being able to see him at his home clinic is a bonus.
I honestly couldn’t recommend Ray more highly. He has completely changed the way I approach recovery, and I can confidently say I won’t be seeing anyone else for massage therapy. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares and delivers real results, Ray is the person to see. Charlia 13/6/26

One of my dancers' Google review 9/5/26

I’ve visited Ray a few times now, and he is always fantastic. He’s very accommodating with afternoon appointment times, which makes it easy to fit in around work and training. His massages are excellent, and he’s especially good at targeting sciatic and piriformis pain. The cupping has also helped a lot, and I always leave feeling so much better with the results lasting for weeks afterwards. I’d highly recommend him for dancers (especially leading up to competition season) or anyone who overuses their body athletically and needs proper recovery and treatment. Shan 05/2026

A More Thorough Approach to Sports Massage

The 90- or 120-minute session gives us more time to look at the body as a whole and work on the areas that need attention.

Rather than simply treating the spot that feels tight or sore, I look at how different parts of the body are working together and what might be contributing to the problem.

This can be especially helpful for active women and athletes dealing with ongoing tightness, recurring pain, restricted movement, or several areas that need attention.

This session can be particularly helpful for:

  • Active women dealing with ongoing muscle tightness or pain

  • Dancers, runners, cyclists, martial artists, bodybuilders and gym-based athletes

  • Women getting back into training after an injury or time away

  • Anyone with several areas of tightness or restriction

  • Anyone who feels tight, restricted, or “stuck” when they move

My Advanced Functional Approach

I have developed my Advanced Functional Sports Massage approach through more than 20 years of clinical experience working with active clients and athletes.

I don't just look at one tight muscle in isolation. I look at how your body is moving as a whole and how different areas may be affecting each other.

The aim is to find the areas that may be contributing to recurring tightness, stiffness, discomfort, or restricted movement, and then work on them appropriately.

What May Be Included

Every session is different and is based on what your body needs on the day.

Depending on your situation, treatment may include:

  • Movement and posture assessment

  • Myofascial release

  • Myofascial trigger point therapy

  • Myofascial cupping, where appropriate

  • Soft tissue mobilisation (STM)

  • Joint mobilisation techniques, where appropriate

  • Stretching and mobility work

  • Recovery and movement advice

I have been using and refining soft tissue mobilisation techniques for more than 30 years, using different approaches depending on the individual and the type of restriction being treated.

What We’re Working Towards

The main goals are to help you:

  • Move more freely and efficiently

  • Reduce ongoing muscle tightness and overload

  • Improve mobility

  • Maintain a better balance between strength and flexibility

  • Support recovery after training and exercise

  • Reduce the chance of the same problems continually coming back

My focus is simple: help you move better by finding and treating the areas that are contributing to the restriction, rather than simply working on where you feel the problem.

With more than 20 years of clinical experience—and over 30 years of experience using and refining soft tissue mobilisation techniques—I take a practical, hands-on approach based on how your body is moving and what you need from your treatment.
