One of my dancers' Google review 9/5/26
I’ve visited Ray a few times now, and he is always fantastic. He’s very accommodating with afternoon appointment times, which makes it easy to fit in around work and training. His massages are excellent, and he’s especially good at targeting sciatic and piriformis pain. The cupping has also helped a lot, and I always leave feeling so much better with the results lasting for weeks afterwards. I’d highly recommend him for dancers (especially leading up to competition season) or anyone who overuses their body athletically and needs proper recovery and treatment.
A Comprehensive Clinical Intervention
This is not a standard sports massage. $140 for 1.5 hours. To book an appointment with Ray, please text: 0435 626 343
This is a 1.5-hour elite clinical intervention designed for high-level athletes who demand the absolute best from their bodies. (Note: While 1-hour sessions are available, they are limited in scope compared to the full-body structural release achieved in our longer sessions.
Ray has developed this Functional Sports Massage from over 30 years of experience working with elite competitors. Ray's proprietary method addresses the restrictions that general massage often misses. We focus specifically on the Musculotendinous Junction (MTJ)—the high-tension bridge where muscle meets bone—to unlock power and fluidity.
Empowering the Modern Elite Female Athlete
For the elite woman, the difference between a podium finish and an injury often lies in the quality of soft-tissue care. I integrate whole-body sports massage with advanced clinical techniques to optimise your physiology for the unique demands of competition.
The Science of the Session
We combine a powerful blend of modalities to restore your mechanical function:
Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy: To deactivate "knots" that hinder explosive power.
Active Stretching Therapy & ART: To retrain how your muscles and connective tissues function during movement.
Myofascial Cupping: To create space in the tissue and enhance nutrient-rich blood flow.
Why Functional Sports Massage?
While standard sports massage focuses on relieving soreness, Functional Sports Massage looks at your body as a complete, high-performance system. We address not just where you feel restriction, but why it is happening.
What We Focus On:
Movement Quality: Improving efficiency so you use less energy for more power.
Imbalance Correction: Identifying and fixing compensation patterns that lead to injury.
Joint Stability: Ensuring your mobility is supported by strength.
Who This Is For:
Elite Competitors: Managing recurring tightness or "niggles" before they become injuries.
Performance-Driven Women: Runners, lifters, and field athletes looking for a competitive edge.
The "Restricted" Athlete: Anyone who feels out of balance or blocked in their movement.
The Result: Long-Term Longevity
Pain and stiffness are symptoms; my goal is to treat the root cause. By improving how your body distributes load, we reduce strain on overworked areas, supporting long-term performance and a stronger, more resilient you.
