Hi, I’m Ray! I’m a male certified remedial massage therapist, trained under an RTO and fully compliant with the government standards. I run my business from home to keep overheads low and offer fair pricing. Like many sole-trader therapists, I’m fully registered with a legitimate business (ABN: 64-866-757-957).
Booking Info: All appointments are by booking only—no walk-ins. You can book by texting or calling 0435-626-343 with your name and the areas you’d like treated, or send a request via my contact page. Ray adheres to strict standards of privacy for all clients.
Male Clients: New male clients are accepted by referral only from one of Ray's network of professionals. Treatments for men are limited to the neck, shoulders, and mid-back—full-body massages aren’t offered.
Ray’s approach recognises the link between physical and mental health, focusing on individualised care that helps women achieve optimal well-being, mobility, and function and helps with pain release.
I specialise in women’s health and love helping women feel their best. If you’d prefer someone else, that’s completely fine. Finding a massage provider you feel comfortable with is what matters most for your health and wellness! Ray's services may include complimentary sports myofascial cupping for established clients for free if needed. With credit cards, you don't have to pay an extra fee for using them, like in other places.

Female Coach & Basketball Player
I've been seeing Ray for chronic hip and lower back pain management and couldn't be happier with the results. He's incredibly knowledgeable about anatomy and pain relief techniques, and has helped me find genuine relief from issues I've been dealing with for years and have seen many physios for the same problem.
What really stands out is his professionalism, he's friendly and respectful while maintaining appropriate boundaries, which creates a comfortable therapeutic environment. Beyond the sessions themselves, he's provided me with exercises and advice to help maintain the pain relief between appointments.
The treatment space is always clean and well maintained, which is essential for a healthcare setting. If you're dealing with chronic pain and looking for someone who knows what they're doing, I highly recommend giving Ray a try. Kim 16/01/2026

Full-time Pilates high-level instructor
I honestly can’t recommend Ray at Canberra Athletic Sports Massage enough.
I’m a full-time Pilates instructor, so my body is literally my job, and ongoing shoulder pain was starting to seriously affect my work and quality of life. Before seeing Ray, I had tried everything including doctors, physios, chiros and osteos. While some helped a little, nothing made a real difference long term.
In one session with Ray, I felt more relief than I had after over six months of seeing a physio and chiro. That alone says everything.
I’ve been seeing Ray for about six months now and the improvement in my shoulder has been huge. I also have endometriosis, and he has been incredible at helping manage the pain that comes with that as well. Every session is tailored to how I am actually feeling on the day, which makes such a difference when your body can change week to week.
Ray is extremely knowledgeable and uses a mix of techniques like trigger point therapy, cupping and more traditional treatments. Nothing ever feels rushed or generic. He genuinely takes the time to understand what is going on and treats what actually needs attention.
Because of how much Ray has helped me, he is the only person I refer my clients to. That is how much I trust his work and the impact it has had on my life.
If you are dealing with injuries, chronic pain, or feel stuck after trying everything else, I cannot recommend Ray highly enough. Kimberly 14/12/25

Referral to me by one of my physiotherapist clients.
I was referred to Ray by a friend due to persistent arm and shoulder muscle pain from prolonged computer use, which worsened after the birth of my first child a few months ago. Holding my son added to the discomfort.
During my first consultation with Ray, I found him to be incredibly friendly, professional, and humorous. He took the time to understand my work and lifestyle habits that might be contributing to my pain and provided me with personalised treatment options. Ray also used Chinese cupping to relieve my muscle tension, and his techniques were truly remarkable. His home clinic is beautifully decorated and well-equipped, creating a very relaxing environment. I left the session feeling much better.
Thank you so much for your help, Ray! I look forward to seeing you next time! Harry Yu 13/12/25

Physiotherapist.
Ray is a highly experienced therapist. After just one session, I already felt significant relief in my stiff neck and shoulders, as well as my forearm muscles. As a therapist myself, I highly recommend Ray. I am looking forward to my next treatment. Thanks Justine 24/07/24 on Google

Testimonial from a lady who was a DV survivor and has PTSD.
Ray has been my massage therapist for around 5 years. Recently, he began helping me with exercise and self-defence, and through this, I have gained so much self-confidence, grounding and reduction of fear after experiencing DV. Ray has been a vital part of my ability to overcome PTSD. (Name withheld due to DV survivor)
