$150 1-hour treatments at a nursing home on the Northside.

Any injuries need a scan done or a report from a GP or physiotherapist to me before I can massage you as some injuries can be made worse if the wrong treatment is done as there might be an underlying problem I don't know of. I have sent many clients to a GP and found out they had tears in their muscles.

You don't need a report for tight and painful muscles that have not been caused by an accident.

Not every person with a disability or an older person is the same so Ray adjusts his treatments to that person's age or disability.

I have worked as an Allied Health Assistant in pool hydrotherapy in disability, aged care and the hospital with physiotherapists in exercises or remedial massages in aged care.

Different body and mine condition Ray has dealt with.

Ray is available to work with a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist on Northside and in their clinic, nursing homes or in the community with aged care or disabilities as a contractor.

Ray is trained in exercise and remedial massage for pain management and mobility he has also worked with Chiropractors, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapist in the past with remedial massage to exercises for mobility and pain management in an aged care, hospital and a chiropractic clinic.

Ray has also worked in the aged care in Dementia and the community sector for over 10 years within this time Ray has had different positions. A few of these positions were in exercise for strength for better mobility and remedial massage for pain management and more.......

The benefits of Ray’s exercises are to help with strengthening, balance and random movement (ROM) within your body system.

Engaging in exercises focused on strengthening, balance, and range of movement (ROM) provides a host of benefits across the body’s systems, improving physical function, stability, and quality of life.

Here’s how each type of exercise supports the body:

1. Strengthening Exercises

Strengthening exercises focus on building muscle power and endurance, and their benefits include:

  • Improved Muscle Function: Strengthening exercises increase muscle size, strength, and endurance, which supports daily activities and reduces the risk of injury.
  • Enhanced Joint Stability: Stronger muscles around joints help protect them, reducing the risk of sprains, strains, and other injuries. This is especially beneficial for people with joint issues like arthritis.
  • Better Bone Health: Weight-bearing strengthening exercises promote bone density, reducing the risk of osteoporosis and fractures, especially in older adults.
  • Boosted Metabolism: Increased muscle mass from strength training raises the body’s resting metabolic rate, supporting weight management and energy levels.
  • Enhanced Functional Ability: Strong muscles make daily tasks such as lifting, carrying, or standing up easier, promoting independence and physical resilience.

2. Balance Exercises

Balance exercises improve stability, coordination, and proprioception (awareness of body position), which are critical for overall mobility. Benefits include:

  • Reduced Fall Risk: Improved balance reduces the likelihood of falls, which is especially important for older adults or those with mobility challenges.
  • Increased Core Stability: Balance exercises engage the core muscles, enhancing stability and posture, which benefits gait and overall movement.
  • Better Coordination: Balance training improves coordination, making it easier to perform complex movements that require agility and precise control.
  • Enhanced Body Awareness: By challenging the body’s equilibrium, balance exercises help increase awareness of body position, which benefits movements like walking, turning, or adjusting posture.
  • Greater Confidence in Movement: Improved balance builds confidence, making people more comfortable moving independently or in challenging environments.

3. Range of Movement (ROM) Exercises

ROM exercises focus on flexibility, helping joints move smoothly through their full range. The benefits of ROM exercises include:

  • Improved Flexibility and Joint Mobility: ROM exercises help maintain and improve flexibility, ensuring that joints move freely and comfortably, which aids in daily movements.
  • Reduced Joint Stiffness: Regular ROM exercises keep joints lubricated and muscles stretched, reducing stiffness and the risk of conditions like arthritis.
  • Better Posture and Alignment: Flexibility exercises help maintain proper alignment, which supports good posture, prevents overuse injuries, and improves gait.
  • Enhanced Circulation: Moving joints through their full range increases blood flow, helping to deliver oxygen and nutrients to muscles and tissues, which supports overall health.
  • Reduced Risk of Injury: Flexible muscles and joints are less prone to strains and injuries, making it safer to perform dynamic or high-impact activities.

Overall, Body System Benefits.

By working on strength, balance, and ROM, these exercises contribute to:

  • Greater Functional Independence: Improved mobility, strength, and balance enable people to perform daily tasks with ease, supporting independence and quality of life.
  • Enhanced Cardiovascular Health: Many exercises that improve strength, balance, and flexibility also engage the cardiovascular system, promoting heart health and endurance.
  • Mental Well-Being: Physical activity supports the release of endorphins, reducing stress, improving mood, and enhancing mental clarity.
  • Better Resilience and Recovery: Building strength and flexibility not only prevents injuries but also aids faster recovery when injuries do occur, making the body more resilient.

Incorporating exercises that target strength, balance, and ROM creates a well-rounded fitness program that supports mobility, physical health, and mental well-being.

Ray can work with your registered NDIS provider Aged Care provider or my aged care plan that you might have. Check with your provider if you can have remedial massage treatment or exercises to help with injuries or your mobility. This is not a full-body massage as it's a targeted remedial massage for pain or injury management.

You don't need a report for tight and painful muscles that have not been caused by an accident.

If you want Ray to come to an aged care facility this can be arranged as long as you arrange it with the facility manager that he would be coming.

All his Covid injections for aged care are current, and I can prove it.

Ray is not a registered NDIS provider as the costs are just way too high to register, due to going through another company for all the paperwork those costs are very high for a sole trader and just not worth the trouble as many people I know have done it and wish they had not.

If your provider or Aged Care Plan will aspect you are coming to Ray for pain or fitness management. Then he can invoice them to claim the money back for your remedial massage or fitness session. Once your NDIS provider accepts Ray's treatments like another NDIS company, he will send an invoice to your NDIS provider for payment.

That way it's not coming straight out of your day-to-day expenses as not many businesses do this. But saying this if they refuse to pay, you are responsible for all payments.

In my years of being a remedial massage and sports massage therapist and my years of training. I have had several clients with the following conditions below.

Different body and mine condition Ray has dealt with.

  • Cerebral Palsy.
  • Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
  • Scoliosis.
  • Fibromyalgia. (Fibro)
  • Spinal Damage.
  • Anxiety.
  • Depression.
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • ADHD.
  • Single too Double Mastectomy.
  • Limbs missing like legs or arms and more....

Ray’s remedial massage for mobility therapy.

Remedial massage that Ray does can be an essential component of mobility therapy, as it targets the muscles, tendons, and connective tissues to enhance movement, relieve pain, and support recovery. Here's how remedial massage directly benefits mobility therapy:

  1. Improves Range of Motion: By working on deep tissue layers, remedial massage helps to loosen tight muscles, allowing for a greater range of motion. This can be crucial for people in mobility therapy who may be limited by stiffness or muscle tightness.
  2. Relieves Pain and Discomfort: Chronic pain, tightness, or discomfort can limit a person’s ability to move freely. Remedial massage targets these painful areas, helping to reduce muscle soreness, alleviate joint pain, and improve comfort, which facilitates greater freedom of movement.
  3. Addresses Muscle Imbalances: Muscle imbalances are common in people with mobility issues, often due to compensatory movements or injuries. Remedial massage works to correct these imbalances by relaxing overactive muscles and stimulating weaker ones, promoting balanced strength and more stable movement.
  4. Enhances Blood Circulation and Recovery: By stimulating blood flow, remedial massage aids in delivering oxygen and nutrients to muscles and tissues, accelerating recovery and reducing muscle fatigue. This is especially beneficial for individuals recovering from surgery, injury, or intense physical therapy exercises.
  5. Reduces Muscle Tension and Spasms: Tension and spasms in muscles can be a significant barrier to mobility, causing pain and limiting flexibility. Remedial massage alleviates these issues, providing relief that supports easier, pain-free movement.
  6. Supports Posture and Gait Improvement: Poor posture or gait can stem from tight or imbalanced muscles. Remedial massage helps correct these issues, enabling a more natural, upright posture and stable gait, which are essential for safe and effective movement.
  7. Promotes Relaxation and Mental Well-being: Mobility challenges can lead to stress and anxiety, especially during therapy. Remedial massage not only relaxes the body but also reduces stress and improves mental well-being, helping individuals feel more relaxed, focused, and engaged in their mobility therapy.
  8. Reduces Scar Tissue and Adhesions: For those recovering from injuries or surgeries, remedial massage can help break down scar tissue and adhesions that restrict movement. This can help restore more normal movement patterns, allowing individuals to progress more effectively in their mobility therapy.

Incorporating Ray’s remedial massage into a mobility therapy program can help people maximise their physical abilities, reduce limitations, and promote overall well-being. It is often recommended alongside exercises and other therapeutic practices to support a comprehensive, whole-body approach to improved mobility.
