About Therapeutic Breast Massage
My remedial massage sessions are focused on injuries and pain management for women's health and wellness. My remedial massage also helps people suffering from acute or chronic conditions.
For any Remedial massage treatment for injuries please bring a copy of your XR, CT or MIR reports for any injuries no matter what they are including spinal problems for your file. If you refuse to give me a copy, then please don't book as this information is vital to how I treat your injury.
Ray's Remedial Massage can include but is not limited to just Remedial Massage, Myotherapy cupping release, trigger point therapy, and stretch therapy which can encourage blood flow to tight bands of muscle and provide effective relief from pain and tightness by removing tightness within the Myofascial layer. The immediate benefits of your remedial massage therapy can include reduced pain, improved mobility, decreased stress, and improved energy levels.
Massage helps relieve a lot of tension, and pain particularly in the neck and shoulder areas, common in those who sit a lot or use a computer at work. Backs are also prone to tightening from prolonged sitting or if you have Scoliosis or Scheunemann's disease. Remedial massage mixed with deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy and stretch therapy can help remedy these problems by lengthening the muscles and balancing out the body for improved postural alignment.
1: Remedial massage stimulates the blood supply, makes joints more mobile, and helps to repair damaged tissues. It helps to balance the length, tone, and tension of muscles and tendons, which restores the correct position of the bones, increases blood flow, and helps heal injuries.
2: A trigger point is a tight area within muscle tissue that causes pain in other parts of the body. A trigger point in the back, for example, may produce referral pain in the neck. Receiving massage with trigger point therapy regularly can help naturally manage pain and stress from chronic injuries. This can also help break up scar tissue that forms following an injury and reduce tension in muscle and tissue. It may also promote faster healing by increasing blood flow and reducing inflammation.
3: Myotherapy for the fascial release can involve applying sustained pressure into the fascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion and all cupping on different parts of your body.
4: Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) is a more advanced form of flexibility training, which involves both the stretching and contracting of the muscle group being targeted. PNF stretching is one of the most effective forms of stretching for improving flexibility and increasing range of motion.
I use Caronlab Hydro 2 Oil Muscle & Joint scented massage & body is a deeply penetrating blend of wintergreen, eucalyptus, pine, rosemary and pepper essential oils to help relieve inflamed joints, stiffness and muscle pain. Massage into sore, tight muscles to supercharge circulation and reduce pain and inflammation. This water-dispersible massage oil is ideal for sports massage, athletes or anyone experiencing aching muscles and joints.

Physiotherapist.
Ray is a highly experienced therapist. After just one session, I already felt significant relief in my stiff neck and shoulders, as well as my forearm muscles. As a therapist myself, I highly recommend Ray. I am looking forward to my next treatment. Thanks! Justine 24/07/24 on Google

My wife and I have been in Ray's care for quite a few years now and would not go anywhere else. Hands down, the best massage therapist we have been to. From the very first session where I was able to walk again without pain in my lower back and hips, right up to the latest session to address 5 days' worth of headache, Ray has an ability to quickly locate the source of my troubles. This is mostly pressure-point therapy, so bear in mind that there is no gain without pain, but it works! Pete D 01/04/20

The space is beautiful, tranquil and the ambient is just wonderful. I’ve gone to many massage places and with 30 years of experience, I can say when someone is good. I must say Ray is the top two I’ve experienced. He is knowledgeable, he knows the right spot, and kind. I would totally recommend Ray to anyone who is looking for a good masseus who can get to the bottom of their pain/issue. Janet 13/09/23 (On Google review)

One of the best remedial/trigger point massages I've had. I've been seeing Ray for help with neck pain/headaches after having had a baby recently, and he's helped me a lot. He definitely knows what he's doing, and I've seen immediate improvements in pain/mobility (unlike other remedial massages I've had which didn't seem to do much). He also has a lovely studio which creates a very soothing environment. Victora 29/08/2023 on Goggle

Raymond has a comprehensive understanding of Myofascial Release Therapy and is a most effective practitioner. He uses his hands skilfully to massage and stretch the myofacial tissue and to eliminate knots thus enabling greater movement of muscles and joints. Restriction of the myofacial tissue covering the human skeleton can lead to widespread pain and discomfort if not released regularly. Raymond possesses exceptional skill and his patients enjoy greater agility and movement. I recommend Raymond to anyone wishing to improve their mobility and agility. Janiece 01/01/23

Finally, a Masseur that listens! I had major spinal surgery in 2020 and it has been very hard to find anybody that can help with my muscle pain. After explaining my situation to Ray, he took me on without hesitation and he has been outstanding in his efforts to alleviate and manage my pain. Ray’s remedial massage and pain management skills are second to none and he personally tailors treatment to each individual. Ray‘s excellent personality and bedside manner is an added bonus, as he’ll always keep you entertained with great conversation while you are receiving your treatment. I highly recommend Ray to anyone with back or muscle issues. 1/06/22 S&M M (On Google review)

I have been seeing Ray for many years. He listens to your concerns, treats the area and explains why you are in pain. He always contacts you after a massage to see how you are feeling. Ray is a highly qualified and adept remedial massage therapist. I am so glad I found him as it has been difficult for me to find anyone in Canberra that has this level of skill. As a bonus his practice is close to home in North Belconnen. I see him for remedial massage only, due to long term back, shoulder and neck pain. He definitely makes a difference to my pain levels and afterwards I always have a much improved range of motion. Ray's practice is clean and professional. He also offers relaxation massages which I would recommend too. The treatment room has many touches like calm music, plush towels, and no bright lights that certainly help make the environment relaxing.

Ray goes above and beyond the traditional massage experience. He is very skillful and knowledgeable in his practice and truly cares about his clients. Ray's use of pressure points is the most productive massage technique i have come across: Ray additionally reaches out two days after the session to check in and see how you are feeling. Overall, I would recommend Ray to anyone needing some serious relief. hawksoccer33 26/09/21 (On Google review)

I was looking for a massage therapist who actually knew how to deal with long-term, tight muscles especially in the shoulders and neck. As massage is ideally done on an ongoing basis to maintain the body, I also wanted someone that I'd be happy to visit again. Ray was professional, and has an excellent, well set up work area. He listened to my requirements, and provided a strong massage, as requested. Trigger point therapy left me feeling like something had actually been done to fix my tight muscles, and I left with noticeable results e.g. could turn my neck further than before. It did hurt when the right spots were touched but that was what I was looking for, and any pain eased up quickly. Would highly recommend Ray as it's not easy to find a knowledgeable therapist who is personable and charges reasonably. CK 03/05/21 (On Google review)

I had serious pain in my right shoulder for several weeks so booked in with Ray who used trigger point therapy to treat it. After the treatment most of the pain had eased significantly and within a couple of days it had completely gone. I wish I hadn't waited so long in the first place! I've already recommended him to several friends. Very professional and a great result! Thank you! Lisa. On (On Google review) 03/21

Had the best trigger point massage in Canberra with Ray! This was my 2nd time going and I’m so glad I found him. I’m booking in monthly from now. His knowledge of the points that will be sore is amazing. I have really tight back, shoulders and legs and he manages to find them and get rid of them. I have never had someone push some of the triggers that he did and omg is was so sore but afterwards I feel so free. I have tried so many massage therapists in Canberra that day they are trigger point but are no way near up to the standard of what I have experienced with Ray. Jakie 02.02.20 On (On Google review).
