$90 1-hour sports massage for women in sports that are wheelchair-bound. So don't be shy and try my massages.
1 one-hour sports massage is set up in my training room as it has a lot more room to move around in a wheelchair and for more comfortable for the lady. Just because you are in a wheelchair doesn't mean you can't have a sports massage or a relaxation massage. I also have a Certificate 4 in disability, and I have worked for years with people with all types of disability. If I can help, please send a text and we can go from there. I am open 7 days a week and I will work with you as much as I can to make sure you have a very good experience.
This massage must be booked two days in advance, so I don't book someone in before you or after you, this way I can set up the studio for when you come so no rushing in or out which helps with stress so you can take your time undressing and dressing, plus you still get a 1-hour sports massage and I mean 1-hour hands-on massage and stretching within my sports massage.
1. Improved Circulation: Massage can stimulate blood flow, which is especially beneficial for wheelchair users who may have limited movement and circulation in certain areas of their body. Better circulation can aid in tissue healing and overall health.
2. Reduced Muscle Tension: Athletes in wheelchairs often experience muscle tension due to repetitive movements or being in a seated position for extended periods. Sports massage can help relax tight muscles, reducing discomfort and improving mobility.
3. Pain Relief: Many wheelchair athletes deal with chronic pain associated with their condition or from overuse injuries. Sports massage can help alleviate pain by releasing tension in muscles and promoting the release of endorphins, the body's natural painkillers.
4. Improved Range of Motion: Massage techniques such as stretching and mobilization can help increase flexibility and range of motion in joints, which is essential for wheelchair athletes to perform at their best and prevent injuries.
5. Injury Prevention: By addressing tight muscles and imbalances in the body, sports massage can help prevent injuries commonly experienced by wheelchair athletes, such as shoulder strains or overuse injuries in the arms and upper body.
6. Enhanced Recovery: Massage can aid in the recovery process by promoting relaxation, reducing muscle soreness, and accelerating the removal of metabolic waste products from the muscles, allowing athletes to recover more quickly between training sessions or competitions.
7. Psychological Benefits: Beyond the physical benefits, sports massage can also have psychological benefits for wheelchair athletes, such as reducing stress and anxiety, improving mood, and enhancing overall well-being.
8. Improved Performance: When muscles are relaxed, circulation is enhanced, and the body is functioning optimally, athletes can perform better, whether it's during training sessions or competitive events.
Overall, sports massage can play a valuable role in the training, recovery, and overall health and well-being of wheelchair-bound athletes, helping them to optimise their performance and enjoyment of their chosen sport.
